PayOnce — last updated August 2026. The short version: your quotes stay on your device; the only things that leave are described below.
Effectively nothing. PayOnce is local-first. The quotes you write, your customers' details, your business profile, and your price list are stored only on your own device's local storage. They are not sent to us and we cannot see them.
When you enter a customer's name, phone, email, or address, that stays on your device too. You — not PayOnce — are the custodian of your customers' information. Handle it responsibly.
When you email or text a quote, that happens through your own email/messaging app. PayOnce hands the PDF to your device's share function and is not involved in the delivery.
The core app does not require accounts to function, and your quotes are stored in your own browser rather than on our servers.
Two things do leave your device, and only when you choose to use them:
If you buy the one-time branding unlock, payment is handled by Stripe and we retain the email address associated with the purchase so we can restore your unlock if you change device or clear your browser.
We count anonymous page views and feature usage to see which parts of the app get used. That counts events, never quote or customer content.
You can delete all your data at any time by clearing the app's local storage. Because the data lives on your device, deleting it is immediate and complete.
